Elizabethtown College’s Office of Marketing and Communications was recently selected as winners of the 10th Annual Education Digital Marketing (EDM) Awards. Etown was awarded gold, the highest level of recognition, in two categories: Blogs, for the Elizabethtown College Summer SCARP Series, and Social Media Content-Campaign, for the #EtownMajorSpaces series.
The department’s Summer SCARP Series blog promoted the efforts of Blue Jay students and faculty members who performed independent student research on campus during the summer of 2022. An interactive, responsive web page was created to showcase student work through photos and Q&A-style articles from the perspective of SCARP students and their mentors.
The #EtownMajorSpaces social media campaign explored unique locations on the Etown campus that are specific to several of the College’s majors, such as the ECTV 40 Studio, the Occupational Therapy Physical Rehabilitation Lab, and the Bollman Fabrication Lab. The purpose of the campaign, which ran during the 2021-22 academic year, was to offer an inside look at how our current Blue Jay students utilize these areas to enhance their educational experience here at Etown.
