Elizabethtown College Professor of Occupational Therapy (OT), OT Program Director, and Dean of School of Human and Health Professions Tamera Humbert was recently named a 2022 inductee to the American Occupational Therapy Association Roster of the Fellows program.
Humbert will be officially recognized and inducted into the Roster of Fellows on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the AOTA Annual Conference Awards Ceremony in San Antonio, Texas.
Considered one of the most prestigious honors that are awarded by the AOTA, the Roster of Fellows recognizes occupational therapists who through their knowledge, expertise, leadership, advocacy, and/or guidance have made a significant contribution over time to the profession with a measured impact on consumers of occupational therapy services and/or members of the Association.
“I am deeply honored and grateful with this recognition,” Humbert said. “My colleagues, at the College and in the community, nominated me for the award by highlighting my scholarship and advocacy with women overcoming violence, international and cross-cultural practice, and spirituality in occupational therapy.
“I am very grateful for the Etown students, staff, and faculty for supporting me with this work through my tenure here.”
Humbert is recognized for her teaching, her research and published works, professional presentations, international travel and service, and her service on the editorial boards of multiple OT journals.
